Farm to Family Music RELEASE DATE: April 20, 2009 CONTACT: Don Appelbaum, Events Coordinator ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ FARM TO FAMILY FULL MOON FESTIVAL Alachua, Florida – Farm to Family began as an organic farm in 1991 and the farming venture continued until 2004. In April of 2005 after the organic farm had collapsed. Farm to Family put on the first Full Moon Concert, a one-day outdoor concert with the full moon rising up behind the stage and shining down on some 75 smiling faces. Local and regional bands played for free and that was the beginning of the Farm to Family Full Moon Concerts. For the past four years on the weekend nearest the full moon, Farm to Family has put on the Full Moon Concert. These events have increased in popularity over the years and on May 8th, 9th, and 10th Farm to Family will host a weekend event on a 210 acre ranch located in the rolling pasture land of North Florida. So come on out where the climate suits your clothes and enjoy a sunshine daydream on the full moon weekend of May 8th, 9th, and 10th. Lineup includes: Crazy Fingers, The Glass Camels, The Rowan Brothers, Dread Clampett, 3rd Stone, The Duppies, Quartermoon, Boss Lady and the Company, Gatorbone, HuDost, Chelsea Saddler, Tammerlin, and more. The weekend festival will be held at 16628 NW 1491 Alachua, FL 32615 Gates open Friday at 11:00 a.m. and show time is 4:30 p.m. Saturday show time is 9:00 a.m. Sunday show time is 9:00 a.m. Lots of music and lots of fun at this family oriented festival. $15 to $20 sliding scale per day or $40 for a weekend pass. BYOB; dogs are not permitted at this event.
